Want to launch a campaign using your own lead list? Meet Alfred lets you upload a CSV file to create LinkedIn, Email, Twitter, or Multi-Channel campaigns—depending on your subscription plan.

To get started:

  1. Go to Create Campaign

  2. Select CSV Upload as your lead source

  3. Drag and drop your file or click the upload icon to select it from your computer

How It Works

  • Your CSV file can include up to 5,000 leads.

  • Depending on your campaign type, make sure your file contains:

    • LinkedIn Campaigns: LinkedIn profile URLs

    • Email Campaigns: Email addresses

    • Twitter Campaigns: Twitter handles

⚠️ The required data (LinkedIn URLs, emails, or handles) must always be in Column A of your CSV.

Once uploaded, build your campaign by adding message steps, follow-ups, and more. Then click Next, name your campaign, and hit Publish.

➕ Adding More Leads to an Existing Campaign

You can add more leads later using another CSV upload—make sure the new file matches the same format (same column order and headers) as the original CSV used for the campaign.

Personalize Your Messages with Custom Variables

If you want to use lead-specific details like names or company names in your messages, just include those columns in your CSV.

To insert these variables:

  1. Upload your CSV file

  2. When writing your message, click Personalize

  3. Select any variable (e.g., First Name, Company, Website) you’ve included

💡 Custom variables are based on the first CSV file you uploaded for that campaign.

Meet Alfred CSV Troubleshooting Tips

Option 1: Fix list separators using Notepad or WordPad

If your data isn’t uploading properly, it may be due to incorrect separators (like semicolons instead of commas).

  1. Open the file in Notepad

  2. Press Ctrl + H to open Find & Replace

  3. Replace all semicolons (;) with commas (,)

  4. Save the file as .csv

Option 2: Update your Windows regional settings (if needed)

  1. Go to Control Panel > Clock and Region

  2. Click Change date, time, or number formats

  3. Choose Additional Settings

  4. Set List separator to a comma (,)

  5. Save and restart if prompted
